Every year my sisters law firm has a big breakfast, a photographer and a Santa! It was nice not to have to go to a mall and stand in lne to see the big guy! This was our first year to see Santa and not have any tears. Although Ethan didn't have much to do with Santa it was an milestone! If you noticed Ethan he is looking a little uncomfortable. Preston was convienced that this guy was not Santa and was insistant on telling us that that was just someone dressed up. We had to make sure he knew that that was Santa's cousin and all of Santas cousins helped him out by dressing like him.
Preston's Christmas Program!!!
After years and years of asking for them, I finally got them!
My diamond earrings!
Every year my mom takes the kids to the Dollar Tree to buy for us and this year I got a cross from Preston. It was very funny because I have been teaching the boys about our religion and have been taking them to mass frequently.
This was after Preston gave Ethan his gift. I love this!
Mom, I think the living room is getting too small for everyone!!! This is a pic of most of the grandchildren!
Christmas this year was very eventful! The last few years I have gotton away with just putting up the Xmas tree and the stockings but this year the boys were so into the holiday season that I had to dig out all the decorations and buy a few new ones. Preston was so excited about helping decorate the house and helped everyone get into the spirit! On Christmas eve, Dex and I stayed up until 2:00am wrapping presents for the kids. Every year I wait until xmas eve to wrap because I love the kids to come out on Christmas day and see the whole living room full of presents. Well this year I started wrapping the presents downstairs and by the time we were done neither of us had the energy to bring them all upstairs and put them under the tree. Dex had an idea to write a letter from Santa. He cut out piece of paper in the profile of Santa and we wrote a letter to the boys saying that Santa had to land on the back side of the house due to the snow and he moved our bench to help get the presents down, but since the snow was so high he had to bring the presents in through the basement. Dex climbed into the snow and tilted our bench up on the side of the deck and we threw the kids candy canes off the tree by the bench to make it look like Santa dropped them. When they woke up christmas morning they didn't think that Santa brought them anything and then they found the letter. For the last few weeks people who come to our house say"What happened to your bench" and the kids tell them all about Santa using it to get the presents down. Dex and I had alot of fun doing it and it was worth the late night!
